Art Submission Agreement
Last updated October 5, 2026
This Art Submission Agreement ("Agreement") is between you (the "Artist") and Crownforge Games ("we", "us"), the operator of the Crownforge game ("the Game"). It applies to every artwork you submit through the Game's "Submit art" page or to [email protected] (a "Submission"). Version 2026-10-05.3.
1. Who can submit
You must be at least 18 years old and have a secured Crownforge account. You must be legally able to enter into this Agreement where you live.
2. Your promises about the artwork
For each Submission, you promise that:
- You are the sole creator of the Submission, and it is entirely your own original work.
- It is not traced, copied, or adapted from anyone else's work, including other games, films, comics or artwork found online.
- It was not created, in whole or in part, using generative artificial-intelligence tools.
- No one else owns or has any right, licence, or claim to it. You have not sold, licensed, assigned or promised it to anyone else, and you will not do so in the future.
- It does not include anyone else's trademarks, logos, characters, or likeness, and it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights.
- It contains no hateful, sexual or illegal content.
3. Assignment of ownership
In exchange for the consideration in section 5, you hereby irrevocably assign, transfer and convey to Crownforge Games all right, title and interest worldwide in and to each Submission, including all copyrights and all other intellectual-property rights in it, and all rights to sue for past, present and future infringement. This assignment takes effect when you submit. We may use, copy, modify, adapt, combine, publish, sell, license and otherwise exploit the Submission in any way and in any media, now known or later developed, including in the Game, on cards, in marketing, merchandise and other products, without further permission or payment.
If we decline a Submission (we will tell you in the Game or by email), this assignment is automatically reversed for that Submission and all rights in it return to you.
4. Moral rights and changes
To the fullest extent the law allows, you waive, and agree not to assert, any moral rights or similar rights (including rights of attribution and integrity) in each Submission. You agree that we may edit, crop, recolour, resize, animate or otherwise change it. We will try to credit you as the artist on any card that uses your Submission, but we are not required to.
5. What you receive
If we accept a Submission, you will receive 1,000 Crownforge Credits (worth US$10.00) in your account (once per accepted Submission). If we make it into a card, you will also receive an "Art by" credit on that card (as long as we use your art) and the card's one-of-a-kind Artist Proof copy in your account. We may also offer other in-game rewards. You agree that this, and our consideration of your Submission, is full and fair compensation, and that you are not owed any royalties, fees, or other payment, whether or not we use the Submission. Crownforge Credits and in-game items have no cash value.
6. No obligation to use
We don't have to use, review within any time frame, or return any Submission. We may already be working on similar ideas or artwork, and nothing in this Agreement limits our use of material we create ourselves or get from others.
7. Further help
If we ever need it to record, register or enforce our ownership, you agree to sign any reasonable documents and take any reasonable steps we ask, at our expense.
8. If your promises aren't true
If any promise in section 2 is untrue, we may remove the Submission and any rewards, and you agree to cover our losses, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from claims by others about that Submission.
9. Electronic signature and records
You agree to sign this Agreement electronically. Ticking the confirmations and typing your full legal name on the submission form is your signature and has the same effect as a handwritten signature. We keep a record of each signature, including the Agreement version, your account, the time, your IP address and a fingerprint (SHA-256) of the file, and we email you a copy.
10. General
This Agreement is the entire agreement about Submissions and replaces any earlier discussions. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies, and the unenforceable part will be enforced as far as possible. Our Terms of Service also apply. Questions: [email protected].
